The Alain Hairstylists name was founded in 1987 by Alain Benhamou.  The shop was originally located on Park Avenue in the City of Rochester.  The then flourishing neighborhood provided the perfect venue for a salon that provided the newest and hottest styles.

In 2001 Alain Hairstylists made the move to Pittsford and opened its doors with a new look and feel, but with the same style and quality that made the Alain Hairstylists name famous. The shop moved to Schoen Place, a beautiful and scenic location, right along the Erie Canal.  Alain hand selected this location, because it reminded him of Europe.
